Happy Birthday Laine!

Laine is a year old today. I can't believe how quick this year has flown by. It's hard to believe how much she's grown and changed in the last year. She's learning so much right now and it seems like everyday she's doing something that we haven't seen her to yet. She's so funny and loving, always giving us hugs and kisses. She goes to the doctor for her check up so we'll have her official stats then, but here's a few things.
- she is eating more table food now. She eats peaches, pears, deli meat, chicken, pizza, peas, bread, cheese, and yogurt regularly. She rarely has baby food at dinner now. She's better at trying new things now, but it takes a few times before she likes it.
- she dances as soon as she hears music and her newest dance move is stomping her feet.
- she's learning what to do with things when she picks them up like when she picks up her brush she brushes her hair and finds a hat she puts it on her head.
- she loves collecting her smaller toys and putting them in her toy aquarium or bucket and then she takes the toys out one at a time. She gets frustrated when she can't fit something in her aquarium or bucket.
- she still loves books and definitely has her favorites that she likes to look at or have us read over and over
- she doesn't really watch tv but if she's really whiny or fussy than we'll sit on the couch and turn on some cartoons and that will distract her and then she'll be ready to start playing again.
- she is getting ready to move to the toddler room at school where she'll only take one nap a day. She's not really ready to only take one nap though and on those days that she does that she ends up sleeping in the car and napping when she gets home and into dinner time.
- She hasn't been sleeping great lately, mostly because she's had a cough. She's only been sick once since Christmas with a short cold but the cough got worse and is still around.
- she has 3 teeth on top and 2 on the bottom. It looks like she'll be cutting another on top any day now.
- she still says dada the most but every once in awhile throws in mama or bye bye
- she still loves Roxy and Ally, especially Roxy. She gets really excited when we open the back door and she sees Roxy.
- she is wearing shoes anytime we go somewhere now and seems to walk fine in them
